Global lockdowns in 2020 allowed us to redefine our locations of work and recreation. COVID-19 has thrown up a once-in-a-generation opportunity to recalibrate everything we knew previously about our daily lives.
With home workouts on the rise, and yoga and other classes available via Zoom, online fitness is now at our fingertips. This realignment of work and life is attractive, however we must not forget physical connectivity too. We’ve seen a spike in the purchase of adult scooters by professionals who feel the need for social interaction outside their homes. There’s also been a rise in demand for the Micro Pedalflow, a seatless bike designed for short travel while offering a good glute workout.
Maintaining balance is our new challenge. We’ve reshaped and changed our habits but cannot rely on technology alone to link us up with work, fitness and people. We need to socialise, exercise with fresh air and stock up on that readily available Vitamin D. Let’s re-energise our routines, add a fun scoot to a destination and, above all, have some fun getting out and about.
